Position Title: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT—PEAP WORKSHOPS

Reports to: Program Manager, Practical Exam Program
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Murray, Utah
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

About the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators:

NCCCO was formed in 1995 as a non-profit organization with a stated mission to develop effective performance standards for safe crane operation to assist all segments of general industry and construction. By providing thorough, independent assessments of knowledge and skills, NCCCO aims to enhance lifting equipment safety, reduce workplace risk, improve performance records, stimulate training, and give due recognition to the professionals who work in, with, and around cranes.

Position Summary:

Supports the work of management and other staff by performing functions such as answering phones and preparing correspondence. May also conduct research, prepare statistical reports, and handle information requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. PEAP Workshop Processing Support Phase 1
    • Processing of Pre-PEAP Workshop materials
    • Receiving of applications, Level 1 approval
    • Sending out confirmation emails
    • Constant Contact notices
    • Developing of application
    • Posting of application
    • File prep
  2. PEAP Workshop Processing Phase 2
    • Processing of Pre-PEAP Workshop materials
    • Once applications are approved, processing workshop folders
  3. Processing of Post-PEAP Workshop Materials
    • Score PEAP written exams
    • Complete management form
    • Email letters
    • Scanning
    • Inventory of materials
  4. Practical Examiner Card Processing
    • Export examiner records
    • Generate cards
    • Assemble Practical Examiner administration testing materials
    • Mailing of cards and/or materials
  5. NWSA PEAP Workshop Processing Support Phase 1
    • Processing of Pre-PEAP Workshop materials
    • Receiving of applications, Level 1 approval
    • Sending out confirmation emails
    • Developing of application
    • File prep
  6. NWSA PEAP Workshop Processing Phase 2
    • Processing of Pre-PEAP Workshop materials
    • Once applications are approved, processing workshop folders
  7. NWSA Processing of Post-PEAP Workshop Materials
    • Score PEAP written exams
    • Complete management form
    • Email letters
    • Scanning
    • Practical Examiner card export, generate cards, and mailing
  8. Practical Exams - Score Sheet Processing
    • Process score sheet requests
    • Enter tracking information
    • Responding to Practical Examiners requests
    • Ordering/keeping stock of score sheets
  9. Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of related experience in an office environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Acute attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely a desk-bound position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects to 20 lb. Requires the ability occasionally to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED WORK HOURS: This is a full-time position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must be able to maintain regular, reliable attendance and on-time daily arrival.
